Greenlake Historic Renovation - Reframing History

This Local Remodeler Listens!

This 1914 home was fully remodeled and repurposed to meet the family’s modern-day needs, while maintaining the architectural character. The first floor was reframed, seismic & structurally retrofitted. A new kitchen remodel with walk-in pantry opens to the dining and living areas. The front porch doors now open onto the newly rebuilt front porch, expanding entertaining space and enhancing biophilic design. The primary suite was enlarged, enclosing the porch dormer. New stairs lead up to 3 bedrooms that were reframed to add flex spaces, and a new laundry room. Balancing needs and wants within the planned budget was challenging, especially as the Pandemic hit amidst construction. We persevered, but schedule was definitely impacted. The exterior features a new rear deck, siding, windows, doors, and trim. Styling selected to replicate the home’s historic charm.

This project was nominated for 2 industry awards in 2022. The MBA Remodeling Excellence Awards and BIAW Excellence in Remodeling Awards as a Historic Renovation.
