BIAW Certified Builder Designation

Irons Brothers Construction is proud to be recognized as a Certified Builder by the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) a designation that sets a higher standard for professionalism, accountability, and craftsmanship.

Certified Builders are vetted by BIAW and must meet rigorous criteria including:

  • Verified references from clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Commitment to continuing education and industry best practices
  • Superior insurance coverage and homeowner warranties
  • Clear contracts and ethical business conduct

This designation reflects our dedication to excellence and our clients’ peace of mind.

Why Hire a Certified Builder?

Watch & Learn

While many homeowners are familiar with the role of a general contractor, fewer understand the added value of working with a Certified Builder. In this informative video produced by the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) — Joseph and Melissa Irons, both BIAW Certified Builders, explain why hiring a certified professional is a smart investment for your next renovation or remodeling project.

Education & Safety

Education and safety are central to our success and help set professional remodelers apart. Irons Brothers Construction actively participates in local, state, and national conferences focused on remodeling, building science, marketing, and leadership development. We also invest in ongoing certifications and manufacturer training to support expert installation and full warranty coverage for our clients.

We extend that commitment to the public as well, offering consumer workshops at city events and regional trade shows.

We believe in the power of Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Remodeling projects require strategic planning and skilled execution, and mistakes or injuries can lead to costly delays. That is why our team maintains certifications in OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR, and EPA Lead Renovation. Through continuous education and training, we strengthen both our team’s performance
and the client experience.

Professional Certifications & Instruction

Joseph Irons is a certified instructor for both the State and National Building Associations. He actively supports industry education and professional development, helping others understand the value of certification and involvement.

Several members of our team also hold specialized designations, including Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), a credential that supports safe, accessible home environments for people of all ages.

Award-Winning Service

Our business practices and community outreach have earned recognition in both the residential construction and broader business communities. Active membership in respected local, state, and national organizations reflects our ongoing commitment to our employees, our clients, and the industry as a whole.
