Our Mission
Inspiring creative, custom design with an exceptional building experience.
Family Leadership & Values
Joseph Irons turned a lifelong passion for building and design into a career in 1999 when he co-founded Irons Brothers Construction with his brother Bruce. Today, Joseph serves as President and General Manager, playfully known as the Director of All Decisions, or “DAD.”
In 2008, Melissa Irons joined the team full-time as Marketing and Operations Manager, affectionately known as “MOM.” Together, Joseph and Melissa have built a company that feels like family, where relationships matter just as much as results.
Their success is measured not only by projects completed or awards received, but by a lasting commitment to community, craftsmanship, service, safety, and education.
Looking ahead, the Irons Design Build Center continues to grow through innovation and positive contributions to clients, team members, and the communities we serve.

A New Chapter: The Irons Design Build Center
From humble beginnings in 1999 to an exciting new chapter in 2025, Joseph and Melissa Irons and the entire Irons Brothers Construction team proudly welcomed the opening of their new headquarters: the Irons Design Build Center in Shoreline’s Parkwood neighborhood.
More Than a Building
Located on Aurora Avenue North, this innovative space serves as a hub for education, training, and personalized consultations, helping homeowners plan their remodels with confidence. Whether you are exploring aging-in-place solutions, preparing for a major renovation, or looking for interior design
inspiration, this is a place to begin.
Celebrating Community & Craftsmanship
Our grand opening on February 5, 2025, marked a meaningful moment of vision and collaboration, joined by Shoreline Mayor Chris Roberts, Chamber President Kevin Barrett, and King County Executive Rod Dembrowski. Together, we celebrated a milestone that reflects our commitment to community,
craftsmanship, and innovation.
Building the Future Together
We are grateful to the Irons family, our team, partners, and supporters for helping bring this vision to life. Here is to creating inspiring spaces and building lasting relationships.
